Last day of month and ...

Oh man, reporting financial stuff and expenses to my boss is like trying to explain rocket science to a goldfish. But hey, it's all part of the job, right? Basically, I keep track of all the expenses and revenue for the building and make sure everything is accounted for. Then, I put all the numbers into a fancy-schmancy report and send it off to my boss. I try to make it as easy to understand as possible, so I use lots of charts and graphs. (Because let's be real, who doesn't love a good pie chart?) But you wanna hear a pun? Okay, here it is: Sometimes, the numbers don't add up, and it feels like I'm stuck in an episode of "The Twilight Zone." But don't worry, I always find the missing piece of the puzzle and balance those books like a pro.

Tenant etiquette

Dude, let me tell you something. We all have problems from time to time, and sometimes those problems happen in our units in the building. That's just life, man. Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither are some repairs. Your building manager and the maintenance team ...

First day on the job

Yo Diary, So, today was my first day as the building manager of this massive strata building in California. I started off my day with a cup of Joe to get me going before heading over to the building. Once I got there, I met with the security team and got the lowdown on all the security measures. Then, I hooked up with the maintenance team and went through their daily tasks. It was a lot to take in, but I managed to keep up with it all while sipping on my coffee. Throughout the day, I had a bunch of meetings with tenants who were having issues with their units. I had to listen to their concerns, check out the problems, and come up with some solutions. It was tough, but I was able to resolve most of the issues. One thing that totally caught me off guard was discovering that the building's roof was leaking. It was a serious problem that needed immediate attention. So, I teamed up with the maintenance squad to fix it, and it took up most of the day to get it done. All the while, I ...
